Coding is more and more a focus of many curriculum initiatives across Canada. Where team based problem solving, strategizing, logical thinking meets with technology, coding skills are essential in today’s world.

At ISTE 2018, Bridges’ Leanne Husk and Susie Blackstien-Adler presented on coding with special needs students.  Through coding students with physical and cognitive challenges can learn important life skills, and connect with the curriculum.  Bridges new Coding Kit and Accessible Coding Workshop makes teaching coding to students with challenges, easy.

Preview new reading curriculum for middle to high school students with special needs called Readtopia. Combines documentary videos, texts, literature, graphic novels and direct instruction on decoding and comprehension, created by a team including Karen Erickson, Caroline Musselwhite and Jerry Stemach.
